Gallery Kong is presenting world renowned contemporary Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf's first solo exhibition in Korea. At this time, Olaf features his most recent body of works, "The Keyholes" and "Dawn & Dusk".
Olaf is a master of the image making. He is well known as implicitly visualized images representing contemporary life in striking ways. Based on several years of experience as a successful commercial photographer, he created his own distinctive style of works by mixing photojournalism with studio photography. He signifies fairly provocative subject matters; social issues, taboos, and bourgeois conventions, in highly stylized and cunning mode of image making, which made him to be distinguished from other photojournalists.
This is his first exhibition in Korea, and a large-scaled installation and 6 photographs of 'The keyholes' series (2011-2012) and 6 photographs and 2 videos among his 'Dusk & Dawn' series (2009-2010) will be exhibited.
