Since its inception in 1982, Kukje Gallery has been committed to presenting works of the most significant international contemporary artists as well as master and contemporary Korean artists. The gallery actively promotes Korean artists, using its unmatched network of museum curators and critics worldwide. Recognizing the importance of promoting Korean artists abroad, Kukje Gallery participates annually in major art fairs, introducing the works of Korean artists such as Lee Ufan, Haegue Yang, Kibong Rhee, Jae-Eun Choi, Gimhongsok, Yeondoo Jung, Hong Seung-Hye, U Sunok, Sungsic Moon and Kira Kim. Some of the international artists that have exhibited with the gallery include historically significant powerhouses such as Louise Bourgeois, Bill Viola, Anish Kapoor, Damien Hirst, Roni Horn, Joan Mitchell, Alexander Calder, Anthony Caro. In addition, major influential contemporary artists such as Anselm Reyle, Aaron Young, Cecily Brown, Jean-Michel Othoniel have recently exhibited their works at the gallery. The Gallery continues to play a key role in drawing the national audience’s attention to the currently international art world.
