The theme of The 3rd International Architects Drawing Exhibition is 'word' which we use in daily life. Wittgenstein said 'Word is like a picture expressing all the images in the world.' To represent truth as much as possible, it should have a common structure and be exposed to diversity with referent at the same time.
Even same object can be expressed in various meanings according to county, ethnic and culture. Therefore, word can have plural and multiple results in terms of language like lingue and parole, and it is a form as non-representational result but embeds historical and cultural contexts.
So, drawing under the theme 'word' is a way to expose own discourse action as an abstract form, and it can be an image created from historical and social background as well as have distinct characteristics of in-depth lineaments.
For example, 'mal' (word) in Korean means 'language,' 'horse,' or 'end,' unlike 'lingue' in French means a shape of tongue.
Like this, drawing word by architects will reveal different forms according to personal emotion and values. While architecture drawing aims to show ideas for buildings, the drawing exhibition will be to create new genre of cultural and artistic discussion beyond universe architectural expression.
