'Traverse' has the number of definitions, such as 'crossing', 'a way across as a zigzag course', or 'going around'. The first half of 2012, I was getting around Tohoku province, Akita, Yamagata and Fukushima, going to islands in Indonesia, staying in Tokyo during the summer, and I'll go back to my home town Yonezawa for the Moon festival and stay in somewhere  at the foot of Annapurna Mt. in Nepal on October. I'm wondering as a zigzag way around Tokyo, Tohoku and other countries as ever. 'Traverse' is a way of my life, itself. I experience different situation every day and every time, but the world in my camera view is always same. 

After this exhibition, I'm going to bring out my photograph collection 'da.gasita' in October, published by Tosei-sha. This collection of Tohoku is photographed since 2004, and it is a part of the 'traverse' series.
