Take my deer to the dentist
by Island
Location: island MEDIUM
Artist(s): Saya KUBOTA
Date: 5 Feb - 22 Feb 2015

Deer, shika in Japanese, have been objects for men. Shi means meat and ka means fur. We call them with the name of the materials, the way they are after death. They are called destructive animals. Deer have been accepted and destined by us to be killed and to become objects for tens of thousands of years.

When you look at the skull of the deer, which has become the object, molars of the deer that had eaten the earth really look like the uplifting of the earth itself. Abrasion of the teeth is the partial copy of the long history of the earth. I found them as live animals in this outline. I will take back their tens-of-thousands-of-year of life through wrapping the long-lasting outline with semi-permanent brightness of gold-silver palladium alloy used for silver crown.
