Island Japan presents a solo exhibition by Fumiaki Akahane (b.1984). Born in Nagano, Japan, the artist currently lives in Saitama. In 2008, he graduated from the Painting Department, College of Art and Design, Musashino Art University. His major solo exhibitions include "Fumiaki AKAHANE," MAGIC ROOM? (Tokyo) in 2007 and "Shining Darkness," magical, ARTROOM (Tokyo) in 2009. Group exhibitions include "WORM HOLE episode 9," magical, ARTROOM (Tokyo) in 2007, "magical museum tour," Tokyo Wonder Site (Tokyo) in 2008, "Power of a Painting," island (Chiba) and "New Art 2010 -- Pleasure of hands and eyes," Yokohama Civic Gallery (Yokohama) in 2010, "HOME ALONE," island MEDIUM (Tokyo,) "Forever Young," Bambinart Gallery (Tokyo,) "Power of a Painting," NADiff a/p/a/r/t (Tokyo,) and Hirori Art Center (Ishinomaki) in 2012.
