The dolls I collected are the objects which created by someone with some purpose. They are cute, funny and strange things which never met my eyes. I am mesmerized by those strange things and feel they represent some kind of a God or Buddha. So my works depicting the dolls might be, as it were, homage to the religious paintings. By Yuko Ota
