ROCKET is born in October 1996, in one room of former Aoyama Dojuynkai apartment which was at Harajyuku, Tokyo .

The owner is Yasushi Fujimoto who handles art direction of magazines “VOGUE NIPPON”, “BRUTUS” and “GINZA”. Relationships with many creators who visit his design office “CAP”, that was how ROCKET was built for the atmosphere to send art culture round on young artists.

Exhibitions held at ROCKET are the total 339 exhibitions in 12 years from the time at Aoyama Dojyunkai apartment, in changing place Jingu-mae, Kita Aoyama and Minami Aoyama. In the bustling world, unique genre less artists gathered from inside and outside of Japan. And they showed us their view of the world.

And then, On October 3, 2008, ROCKET came back to Jingu-mae, Harajuku. The re-opening “ROCKET” is not just a gallery. ROCKET is the real place you can enjoy the current of culture as if you were turning pages of a magazine. Whenever a person goes there, new page begins. That is ROCKET.

*Every other Wednesday and Thursday is closed due to the exhibition replacement. Please check with the exhibition schedule.

*There are no designated parking for ROCKET. Please park your car/ bike at the nearest parking.
