Landscape in Tandanori Yokoo's hometown, Nishiwaki, characters in his favorite book and films he watched were sources of inspiration and he reflected them on works in various ways. For instance, young boys in uniform are young detectives from Edogawa Rampo's novel, and a dive was inspired by Jules Verne's 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.' Also, he reminded of stories in the cartoon 'Oujakan' or the film 'Tarzan.' Such works raises his mind when he was a boy as well as adventurous and curious thoughts everyone has had in childhood. The exhibition will introduce objects and books which influenced on him together.
