Unforgettable pass is beautified into myths; splendid instant shines into the future’s legend.

The computer and network technology develops everyday, shortens the distance of the world. The universe, time, and space become closer; the boundary between reality and fiction is vague. However in the legend from ancient to modern time, the expressions of art always create unimaginable amazements. Even with an astonishing glance, a spacing-out moment, or a subtle thought, the attraction of art allows us within limited colors to imagine boundless picture.

Nothing about the flying strokes or the elaborative complexity, the future does not exist without the history; legends could not be without stories. Artworks are the eternal witness of an era’s beauty, and the artists also own their territories and kingdoms that belong to themselves.

Xu Bing holds an incredible persistency to restructure the familiar characters into his new symbols, which transfer the unreadable “Book from the Sky” into the visual solemn. This overthrowing concept of foresight, implies that “the reality itself is an unreadable book from the sky”, which escapes from old perception toward the magnificence of the future. Shintaro Miyake’s “Path to Egypt” is distant but gentle. In Egyptian totems alternate his own symbols and plots; in the story hides another story.  We look for legends in myths, commit life to parables; every imagination and reality is built on the glittering path to Egypt. One step across a thousand years, this is a modern epic presenting immeasurable happiness. Yoshitaka Amano gorgeously spend mysterious tensions of the fiction and creative monsters of Chaos, expressing a wavy, immense, but still beautiful poem. In Kwon Ki-Soo’s leisurely resplendent forest, colorful flowers fill with spontaneous happiness on the golden flower; the sunshine reflects Dongguri’s bright and confident smile.

Huang Ming-Che’s seductive tension blooms all over the place in his uninhibited lines and beautiful savage. Lee Ming-Tse’s myth comes from his naivete and fantastic daydreams. Our living environment, society phenomena, even the concern, disappointment, and sarcasm toward the politics, in his paintings receive a peaceful and romantic relief, confess the pass, hope for the future by his consistent humor and sincerity. Hong yi usually uses mellow delightful figures to annotate “The Hong’s New Tao Mystery and Pure Conversation”. The orient mysterious images are full of rich oddness, unbalanced but harmonic, just like a bottle of nice wine in its old and tipsy smell we encounter the passionate beauty.
