In 1989, Sakshi Gallery merged with Synergy Art Foundation Ltd to widen its business at a time when most art businesses in India were family run and subsidized. Sakshi has always been the choice for collectors and discriminating buyers – whether it is in the selection of art and artists or the cataloging of shows. Today the name is synonymous with quality, trust and efficiency.

Over the last 20 years, Sakshi has held exhibitions the world over: in Berlin, Hong Kong, New York, London, Singapore, and also within India in Delhi, Baroda, Calcutta, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. The gallery has also participated in numerous art fairs across the globe. Furthermore, the gallery has obtained permission for Art Basel 41, 2010.
  
In 2009, Sakshi Gallery started a new branch in Taipei, Taiwan. The Taipei gallery will host exhibitions of Indian artists as well as international artists. Sakshi Gallery hopes to nurture this new space in Taipei into a dynamic centre while also using it to expand its network in the Asian subcontinent. From Taipei, the gallery hopes to serve other major Asian cities and to become a solid base.
