Xizhitang was founded in October 1994; today they mainly deal with paintings and calligraphies of modern artists. In addition they design major arts exhibitions and have extended their reach to the publication of professional fine arts. The company has gradually developed as a multifaceted unit. Xizhitang is a great place for those with a strong interest in art to gain keen insight of the current market pulse. They offer an opportunity for Chinese arts fans to view many wonderful paintings. In recent years Xizhitang has organized large-scale exhibitions with the cooperation of public and private organizations at home and abroad. Remarkably this has contributed to the spread of international culture and arts communication. The major well-known exhibitions held include Eastern and Western Arts Joint Exhibition, Zhang Daqian and Picasso –The World of Zhang Daqian at the National Palace Museum in 1998. Also included were Century Exhibition of Le Keruan at the National Museum of History and Kaohsiuns Museum of Fine Art in 2000, Qi Bai Shi’s Works Exhibition at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in 2002. At the same place, Centennial Exhibition of Fu Baoshi in 2004. And A Century of Li Keran- Commemorating the Hundredth Anniversary of Li Keran's Birth in 2007. All of these efforts have proven the great professional capability of the company. The execution of such events has received praise and recognition from the public.

Chen Xiaojun is currently managing Xizhitang. Chen is a senior staff member in the art field and has strong experience in publishing. She has worked as the publisher and the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Art Nobility” and vice general manager of Wenxin Artistic Salon, a weekly publication of Central Daily, which is one of the leading newspapers in Taiwan. With a keen insight to fine arts, Chen Xiaojun is committed to providing professional service and information based management for Xizhitang domestically and internationally.
