As Shanghai’s summer sets in, and the usual sultry heat settles on the city, ART LABOR Gallery is pleased to bring out latest group show emphasizing artists exploring their dreams in aesthetics fresh and unexpected. Certain art works deal with the actuality of dreaming, within which surreal imagery is presented as a glimpse into the mind of the artist and the borders between the real and unreal. Others are more to the functional meaning of the word in its more linear sense, toward a future, where one dreams of something ahead, or for something wished. Whatever the approach, we have gathered an unusual combination of art works by some very talented artists, ranging from painting to installation by women and men from far and wide.
