Sculptor Jong Hee Lee collects used objets and stuffs them in hardened cement. As connecting an art work with life, the artist tries to seek real value of existence of human, nature and all objets.
Selecting object is started from skepticism about instrument reason of a person. On a process to achieve richness in the contemporary society, all the nature and things are fallen into a target for instrumental desire. Thus, the artist collects abandoned things like tools and pour them into a cast with cement to deleted hand-stains and memories.
The exhibition will feature detailed and solemn new works by Jong Hee Lee.
