As seen on the title 'Symbolism of Beoseon - Korean Socks - and the world of Visual Language', Jeong-Ja Jeh has showed 'Beoseon' series in flat and objectified painting and sculpture for 20 years, which condensed the joys and sorrows of the Korean women in the past.
Her art shows to advantage with perfect form and pictorial expert ease. Also, because it express Korean symbolic images sensately in different ways, audience can understand her works friendly and easily.
Her esthetic world can be called as 'a beauty of repetition'. As Beoseon is drawn on canvas repeatedly, and objectified form of Beoseon provides a feeling of cubic effect, the artist's emotion stands out. Also, unlike abstract paintings by other artists, Jeh applied a regular pattern to art works. A form of Beoseon with contrast of vivid color and constructive factor even makes us feel happy and free.
In this exhibition, the artist will exhibit 20 artworks which express formative element and various feelings lively.
