The Taihe Art Gallery was established in June 2009 by Mr. Jia Ting-peng, a well-known Chinese art dealer and the editor-in-chief of Art Collection Magazine. Mr. Jia is also the president of the original Beijing Classic Taihe Art Gallery. Through exhibiting high quality art, Taihe Art Gallery commits to establishing an aesthetic judging system for contemporary Chinese art. It promotes those artists who are able to blend the elements of Oriental culture with originality and diversity.

The Taihe Art Gallery is a fifty year-old decommissioned military factory building with unique architectural style. The outside wall is painted in brick grey and Chinese red, also covered in dense ivy evergreen leaves. The unique interior and exterior environment symbolizes a thriving spirit of contemporary Chinese art.

Located in the center of the Beijing 798 Art Zone, which houses a thriving artist community, it is often compared with New York’s SoHo nd Green Village. In addition to its main exhibition space, the Taihe Art Gallery owns a mini library, an art café, and gift shop.
