MIRIAM VLAMING (born 1971) belongs to the most unique and distinctive voices of the Leipziger Schule of the last decade. Almost like an alchemist she is experimenting with pigments and techniques, permanently washing the canvas to reach a "realistic rendering by redeeming transfiguration." (M. V.)

During her first solo-exhibition in China Every Single Day the Berlin/Germany based Dutch artist mostly presents daily situations with this years large scale works like children going to school or scenes on a market place.
 
In Europe Miriam Vlaming had important solo-exhibitions such as at Kunsthalle Mannheim (You Promised Me, 2008) and joint several group exhibitions like currently with Silent Revolution at Kerava Art Museum, Helsinki, Finland.
