According to famous physicist Stephen Hawking , the earth will be destroyed in 200 years. He explains: “Mankind has stepped in an era of increasing danger; we have experienced several existential events. Because of the genetic code of selfishness and greed, humans are plundering the earth blindly without thinking and realizing its consequences. We human don’t realize that we cannot put all eggs in one basket, therefore we cannot make a bet just on one planet.” Recently we are witnessing how nature has started taking vengeance on mankind proving Hawking’s point. So called development with the help of modern science and technology ,we are facing series of disasters today : frequent extreme cold,  heat , drought,  flood, hurricanes, tsunami, earthquake, landslides, plague, sars,  etc；plenty of desertification、too much pesticides in agricultural causing chemical pollution , noise  pollution, radioactive  pollution, genovariation and infection etc；enjoyment, incest, cold-bloodedness  etc have polluted our life completely… It is Hawking who rightly pointed out the cause of these disasters ;Science &Technology, along with desire of human genetic codes--‘selfishness and greed’ –have caused unlimited disasters on the planet earth which are now out of human control.

The work “Heteromery  39°”does not talking about original figures or society contradiction issues but the potential crisis which hi-tech figures and biomutation may bring to human. People’s thought is a complex carrier and everybody has abhorrent psychological demands. That is to say, human’s thought is conflicting with Heteromery’s  artificialization and technicalization, and always discusses some basic philosophical topics such as nature, motive power, thinking of life, outlook on time, materialization etc. This discussion is some kind of mental compensation for disorder consumption  in economic times. In the history of human thought, there was a tendency for students to consider such “underdeveloped”   past as ideal future. This trend is used as people's spiritual regression: Confucius’s encomium to Zhou Dynasty, Lao-tzu’s  yearning for peaceful country, Marx’s imagination to primitive communist, all those above tell the fact that thinkers consider original nature as the Golden Age.  Nowadays , in the age coexisted with desire and pressure, the profundity of history became more and more planar. Contradictions between desire and reality, deficiency of belief and prestige , both of them bred fickleness and blank: fluster, tension, fear, depression, loss of working efficiency. High temperature 39°shows the present situation that people need diagnosis sharply. Arms race and economic competition rose up the speed of urbanization and at the same time brought about a vicious circle in ecological environment. It is commonly acknowledged that nearly everyone has mental illness now, and as a result ataraxia , for example: Leisure, travel, yoga, mental health etc, will become a new mental demand, just as people’s aspiration for slowly life in countries. Hi-tech surmounting nature is unnatural,   meanwhile   it has to depend on “ true nature”.  Only in this way can human beings develop a long-term bight future.

As for people who have a high fever will have a 39° -body ,this is an unlucky number； it also refers to the Greenhouse effect and uncontrolled mind；“fever” has also become a sensitive word, we usually use it to describe people’s morbidity. Here “Heteromery” sounds like “art” in Chinese, and this exhibition shows our concern to reality with the help of few artists and the art language of variational figures. Aiming at the man-made technological phenomenon conflicted with nature,   we raised a query  on  today and tomorrow. The attention to the survival circumstances in future will naturally bring about new feeling and technical language, and these will also supplement values that only care about instant living experience.
