Connoisseur Art Gallery is pleased to hold a new solo exhibition of Paris-based Chinese contemporary female artist Jia Juan Li this summer.
Since her last solo exhibition in our gallery in 2013, in the same year Jia was chosen as one of the 40 artists to exhibit her paintings at the French International contemporary Art Fair (FIAC) on the Champs Elysees in Paris, as an event to mark the 50th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations and promote China's cultural arts to the world. This touring exhibition later took place in the Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen, the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) in Beijing and the Chongqing Art Museum in Chongqing, all held in 2014.
Connoisseur Art Gallery has known and represented Jia Juan Li since 1991, when she obtained her Master of Fine Art from the prestigious Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. More than 20 years on, we continue to fall in love with Jia's work over and over again.
The exhibition will continue to showcase Jia's Qing princesses, her garden works and palace interiors, including her highly sought after children pieces and reclining ladies in a composition that was last seen some 7 to 8 years ago.
