Glimpse of Water is a group exhibition of Hong Kong art themed on the varying forms of water. Water brings life to earth through current and waves, and thus acclaimed as the origin of life. While mountains and valleys in Chinese landscapes symbolize the stability, streams and rivers signify the motion and liveliness of the world. Inspired by the ever-changing forms of water, Hong Kong contemporary artists capture the movement of water using paintings, paper-cut or sculptures. They took up the challenge of representing roaring water via the expression of the rhythm of waves, decomposition of the imagery of water fall as well as the dripping form of raindrop. This group exhibition is divided into four parts, the representation of water, the showery rain, the turbulent waterfall, and the summer shore, to offer a glimpse into the notion and senses of water in contemporary art.
Participating artists include CHAN Kwan Lok, FUNG Lik Yan, Kevin, KAN Kit Keung, KOON Wai-bong, KONG Yiu Wing, Bovey LEE, Danny LEE Chin Fai, Wilson SHIEH, TSANG Chui Mei, WONG Yee Ki. We proudly introduce the Grotto Fine Art Award winner 2015 CHAN Kwan Lok in this group exhibition.
