Chui Tze Hung, Montgo Painter and writer. His works have been shown world-wide over 300 shows, and collected by Hong Kong Museum of Art, Vice President of the United States of America Art Gallery, Fung Ping Shan Museum, Hong Kong University, etc.
His Name has been celebrated in “reference Asia”, “Who’s Who in Australia and Far East”, “International Biography”, etc. After winning the award of “International Art Competition”, he was granted Fellowship by the U.S. National Endowment of Arts in 1988, also was the official guest invited by the U.S. Government to travel to the U.S. Chui also won the UC Biennial Art Awards in 1978 (Painting) and in 1988 (Calligraphy). He was interviewed by CNN for his establishment in art in 2001. His work was selected for “Three Gorges Stone Engravings by World Chinese Painters” in 1988. His calligraphy was selected for the Hong Kong Art Collection Special Stamps $1.30, in 2002. Chui was assigned for the Footbridge Beautification Project in Wanchai with calligraphy.
As art critic, Chui has written three books, “Beyond the Painter’s Brush”, “Art Talks Art Circle”, and “The Hong Kong Art Scene”. In 2005 Chui was awarded “The Certification of Commendation” for his outstanding achievements in promotion of arts and culture. He is a part-time lecturer of Academy of Visual Arts, Baptist University.
Early in 1970, Chui has been teaching at SPACE, HKU till 1996.
