Gaffer established in February 2004 by collector Jules Lambe as Gaffer Studio Glass & first located in The Centrium Wyndham Street Central Hong Kong as was the first Gallery in Asia dedicated to exhibiting Museum quality Studio Glass sculpture.

2005 Gaffer umbrella within the Singapore Arts Festive “Australian Glass Today” featuring 20 international acclaimed Australian Glass sculptors & over 50 sculptures @ The Arts House Singapore (largest exhibition in Asia to date)  conjunction with Wakefield press  publication of the same name. 

2007 Gaffer did act as an advisor for the exhibition “Glass China” held in Alexander Tutsek-Shiftung Foundation Munich Germany,

2006 Gaffer relocated after purchasing a 4000sqft loft Gallery  exhibiting space in Aberdeen & in 2009 Gaffer ltd was formed & under the same ownership of Jules Lambe

Between 2006 – 2011 Gaffer focus was working as an consultant & advising 5 start Hotel development in Greater Asia & Gaffer has worked on over 20 (full list on website) & most notable Marina Bay Sands Singapore, Venetian Macau, Galaxy Macau, Okura Macau, Marina One 15th Singapore, Four Seasons Hong Kong, Four Seasons Macau & Hyatt Guiyang China.

2010 Gaffer Ltd has dedicated its focus on raising the profile & bridging the gap between Australia & Asia exhibiting artist  of Asian & Chinese born that reside in Australia with a selection of that work in both Asia & Australia now.  Gaffer is planning to expand this artist stable in 2012.

2011 was invited to exhibit under the Guest Country China @ Los Angeles Art Fair January 2011 included were Taipei born Abstract painter Annie Hsiao-Wen Wang, Chinese born configurative painter Chen Ping that has exhibited international in Basel, Armory NYC & collections such as White Rabbit Sydney, sculptor John Deng of whom all work in Asia/ Australia & Chinese Born Song Ling who resides full time in Melbourne since 1988 & is published as being one of the several important member of the “85 New Wave in China.  Ling has been finalize in Archibald Prize, Wynne, Sulman & Blake prize.

Gaffer will continue to specialize in Contemporary Studio Glass, Ceramic & Sculpture & consultant on selective 5 star Hotel developments & commercial projects within Greater Asia & America.

Gaffer is open via appointment only & Saturday 1-4pm.
