a Gallery and Gallery by the Harbour are proud to present “Wonderland” – the first Solo Exhibition of Chinese Artist, Guo Fei in Hong Kong. This exhibition will showcase a series of oil paintings and 3D installation art pieces of Guo.

Guo Fei tries to relive the serenity of his childhood by drawing on images inspired by memories of mother nature: the ponds with beautiful lotus, small shrubs behind which he would play hide and seek, the evenings he slept between the earth and sky ...

The artist hopes that in these images he offers a peace of mind and his understanding of the simpler life to those others whose hectic lives offer no time for contemplation; whose souls have lost their roots. Guo found his way of trapping his memories using a very innovative art approach.

Instead of drawing on one-dimensional canvas, a box is his medium with the artist painting his pastoral images inside, producing a 3D effect that brings the landscapes alive. A sound sensor system adds a fourth dimension to fully draw the observer into his recreation of his dream world.
