CROSS WAY UP
by White Tube
Location: White Tube
Artist(s): Wai Lok CHEUNG, Siu mou CHOW, Yau Sum LAM, Sai Poon LEUNG
Date: 6 Jul - 15 Aug 2010

In the logo, a cross is formed with two parallel lines, and continued to extend to the top.  Although we took a long way round, we will see interesting landscapes different from our original tracks, and make the trip become more meaningful. And this is what meant by "Cross Way Up".

This exhibition features 4 classmates who spent 5 years together in Hong Kong Art School, from 3 different majors. The show is held with their graduation show at the same time, in the same building.  It could be a supplementary to show what they didn't show in their major graduation works: playful works by exchanging skills and methods, or using medias unrelated with their own major.

The four artists, Chueng Wai Lok, Siumou Chow, Lam Yau Sum and Kenny Poon respectively studies photography, ceramics and painting in their major, which makes each of them carry their own approach and way of seeing. The topic they concern maybe daily little things, but through their subtle observation, you can see their unique attitude and senses of humor.
