Artcourt Gallery, now in its fifth year of operation, originated as the successor of Gallery Kuranuki, formerly major contemporary art gallery in the Osaka-Kobe-Kyoto region of Japan.

Artcourt Gallery represents both veteran creators who have extensive exhibition and award-winning experience at international venues, such as the Venice Biennale, and emerging young artists. Unrestrained by concerns of genre, they handle a wide range of works in sculpture, photography, painting, installation and other media that possess both conceptual depth and refined formal beauty.

As a project gallery with the largest private exhibition facility in Japan, around ten times per year, Artcourt Gallery organizes dynamic project, solo and group exhibitions that take full advantage of this venue, and that consistently receive the attention of media and museum representatives. They are devoted to supporting, nurturing and discovering young artists, and nearly half of their exhibition program each year is dedicated to projects in this regard.

They began exhibiting at art fairs internationally last year, with sculpture-focused group shows at SOFA (Sculpture Object and Functional Art) in New York City in May and in Chicago in November.  Both shows were extremely well received, and their booth was continually overflowing with attendees.  The work of Kozo Nishino was particularly popular, selling out quickly at both fairs, and numerous requests were received for future pieces.  As a result of this response, they have a newfound confidence that their represented artists and their work will appeal to a wider audience.

Artcourt Gallery is actively developing an ongoing program of participation in art fairs worldwide.
