Chang Huei-Ming born in 1984 in Taichung, Taiwan, 2010 graduated from the Graduate Institute of Technology Art, Taipei National University of the Arts (now New Media Art Institute), focusing on the contemporary visual language and perception of the visual aesthetics to the body, familiar with new media, mechanical power installation, spatial installation, and other creative forms stepping out into theater stage installation, as well as multimedia design. His works was awarded first prize in the 2009 Taipei Fine Arts Awards, first prize in the 2010 Taipei Digital Art Award, Audio-Visual Category, Jury Selections of Japan Media Art Festival in 2011, silver medal award in New Media Art division of ROC National Art Exhibition in 2012.
This time in his solo exhibition in VT Artsalon, Chang Huei-Ming will be exhibiting a number videos with plants as the main subject matter, installation works, which leads to the observation of the state of life, and trying to express the conflicting idea of nature and technology and the interdependent context, searching for the different aesthetic possibilities within.
