Yang-Tsung Fan, the winner of Young Art Award 2011, is famous for his unique Hard-Edge works “Making a plane” and “Mowing”. He brought diverse elements and unique vision to his works and attracted not only domestic admiration but the international attention. This June, Aki Gallery is going to present Yang-Tsung Fan’s solo exhibition- Towards a Dazed and Glittery Place.
Fan’s works focus on the city space and human’s living field. He mixes time and space, visible and invisible elements to create a two-dimensional landscape between real living scene and unreal memories. He tries to use the position of sideline to measure and connect the human activities and social condition.
The parallel universes he created are bright and obscure, clean and ambiguous. These atmospheres became a unique visual language of Fan. Aiming to rethink the living field around our life, Fan’s works also represents a collective memory of modern people.
For the first time, we will expose over ten pieces canvas works that haven’t been displayed. Fan hasn’t exposed solo exhibition for two years. During this period, he accumulated a great amount of energy that will burst out and amaze every viewer at this upcoming exhibition.
