For 25th anniversary, Hakgojae opens a new space in Shanghai and holds an opening exhibition 'Pulse of Sight.' From early traditional art to modern in 1980 and 90s and contemporary art, Hakgojae has introduce exhibitions embracing zeitgeist.

'Pulse' is the 'energy' circulating a human body. The title 'Pulse of Sight' is connected the thought of Laotzu, artwork is visualized energy of a person. Participating artists Kira Kim, Seahyun Lee, and Kyoung Tack Hong show artworks based on novel and curious tradition and creativity.

Kira Kim has showed photo, painting, installation, sculpture and video with interests in individual social and cultural position in a contemporary society and personal desire in contraposition to it. In this exhibition, his turning point artwork 'The Sole_Customer-Government-Personal'(2004-05), '29th floor'(2002), and the recent work extended from previous one,'On the bridge'(2013), are on view.

Well known artist with 'Between Red' series, Seahyun Lee clearly shows what Korean contemporary  esthetic sense is and how an artist considers a society. 'Between Red' series talks about our sorrow started from one young man's experience looking at a divided country itself. New artwork in this exhibition 'Between Red - 187' is a new start to expand width as arranging an image of scenery collage and adding portraits. The artist's family, friends and symbolic people in Korean modern and contemporary history, the artist depicts human emotions.

Filling a scene with strong colors as borrowing pen, book and mass media images, Kyoung Tack Hong's artwork is composed of pop art and formativeness with realism, the mundane world and sanctity, design and painting, and pop and high culture. For the exhibition, the artist announces 'NYC 1519 part2,' representative work 'Pen 3,' and new 'Pen' series. Hong's 'Pen' series releases energy from brilliant color and pens in the texture of plastic. While image of pencil's energy is 'eruption,' another series 'library' presents 'condensation' of the energy. Library in 'NYC 1519 part2' is a territory of integrated arts' core.
