Equator Art Projects is pleased to be participating in Art Stage Singapore 2014 for the first time this year. The fair will be held at Marina Bay Sands from 16-19 January.
The Gallery Booth (E07A) will feature an eclectic mix of works by both emerging and established Southeast Asian artists, highlighting the diversity in artistic practice throughout the region. The artists are: Awiki (Indonesia), Uji 'Hahan' Handoko Eko Saputro (Indonesia), Indieguerillas (Indonesia), Geraldine Javier (Philippines), Donna Ong (Singapore), J. Ariadhitya Pramuhendra (Indonesia), Arturo Sanchez Jr. (Philippines), Jeremy Sharma (Singapore) and Srihadi Soedarsono (Indonesia). Our Project Space (A07B) will showcase a solo presentation of paintings by Sherman Sam (Singapore/UK).
We would like to congratulate our gallery artist, Nikki Luna (Philippines), who has been selected to participate in Platforms – Southeast Asia, a new component of Art Stage Singapore 2014 which will feature specially curated projects for seven country and regional platforms. Her exhibited work, Survival of the Prettiest, is a humourous spin on the evolutionary process, gender awareness, roles and biases, which explores the notion of beauty as a weapon of war in the fight for survival.
