100 Tonson Gallery is pleased to announce our upcoming exhibition in January – February 2009, we welcome this year with 3 exhibitions of the gallery's collection, the contemporary shadow puppets by Chusak Srikwan, The work plays the artist's detest about greed in the society through a metaphor of legend's character Choochok in a form of shadowed puppet ---southern Thailand’s traditional performance. (18 Dec 08 – 11 Jan 09 ).
Following with the new series of work “Time Bomb of Illiness” by Yuree Kensaku for previewing before exhibition in Beijing, China, this series touch upon the artist’s recent diagnosed allergy which she has severely suffered and underwent treatment in the past 2 years. (15 Jan – 8 Feb 09 ). Side track announcement: S&P restaurant conglomerate has invited Yuree to design cookies box and they are now available in various stores nationwide.
Ending the collection series with the group exhibition "Miles away from home to find the MISSING piece" will present lithograph works of human faces convey a universal sense of existence by Takanobu Kobayashi, Japanese artist who lives in Thailand for 9 years, together with selected outstanding abstract works by Somyot Hananuntasuk whose work will share another vision and inspiration on the abstraction pieces. Also prints by Yayoi Kusama, a world-renowned abstract expressionism who describes herself as an obsessive artist. (12 Feb – 1 Mar 09)
