Prism
by 100 Tonson Gallery
Location: 100 Tonson Gallery
Artist(s): Pichet KLUNCHUN, Kornkrit JIANPINIDNAN
Date: 25 Mar - 25 Apr 2010

100 Tonson Gallery presents a spectacular collaboration between 2 outstanding artists, Pichet Klunchun and Kornkrit Jianpinidnan, “ Prism”, curated by Thanavi Chotpradit. Known and seen internationally more often than in Thailand, the performance of Pichet will be, for the first time, shown in a visual art space, right downtown in the city of Bangkok.

100 Tonson Gallery is a multifaceted art space. Its prism of dimensions is expressed through the diversity of artistic activities that takes place inside the gallery. This is the show where space emerges from disciplinary encounter (performing arts and visual arts) and the parallel narratives. With his photograph and installation, Kornkrit Jianpinidnan’s “The House No.1” transforms 100 Tonson Gallery into a space in-between the world of Thai traditional literature and the world of reality for Pichet Klunchun to perform “Ganesh.” Photographs will be revived through Pichet’s performance while the performing takes place in the space created by Kornkrit.

In the obscurity of the space-in-between, there is not only a story of Ganesh losing his trunk, but also the fragments of the
political situation we are facing in our present society.

“Ganesh”, the performance will be opened 10 rounds (approximately 1 hour each). There will be only 40 seats in each show, please reserve ticket in advance to avoid disappointment. Contact 100 Tonson Gallery through email, info@100tonsongallery.com or mobile phone: 081-910-9440.  Ticket is 1000 baht .  (students: 700 baht)
