"Alef in many letters" is a book and an exhibition by master calligrapher Samir Sayegh. The texts and the artworks both strive to free the art of Arabic calligraphy from Arabic language in order to transcend it to its highest spheres as an art to read what cannot be read, and hear what cannot be heard and see what cannot be seen.
