Space Station will hold the Qi Chi-Loneliness, Inner Feelings and Sufferings artistic exhibition on 7th July 2012. This exhibition will present the artworks of Sha Zijian, Wang Rongzhi and Yang Yulin. Their artworks will reflect the relationship between human and nature, loneliness and existential philosophy. From those artworks, the audience shall feel their inner feelings in accordance with the extraordinary paintings.
Unlike the traditional Chinese artistic history, those artworks have been produced under the artists’ introspective consciousness. From those artworks, it can easily associate with the Galapagos which has been mentioned in The Origin of Species. Loneliness is the common spiritual realm for the three artists. Artworks of the Qi Chi artistic exhibition have indicated more mature relationship between human and nature, instinct and survival after the 1999 consciousness awareness during the Post Sensibility Exhibitions.
Sha Zijian, one of the romantic representatives, has born in 1981 of Liaoning Province and awarded the master degree at atécole nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris, France. Earlier, he has studied Oil Painting at Luxun Academy of Fine Arts New Expression Studio. Up to date, his artworks still have been following the expressive method of realism. In France, he has participated in many important artistic exhibitions. Most of his artworks have expressed the transformation between reality and illusion. One Person seems the leading role in the painting and the surroundings reflect the inner feelings of this person. Without concentration only on the main body, the leading role of his artworks has presented unnatural and abnormal spiritual status under the candid camera and the attack of flashlights. The audiences shall imagine the inner feelings about the person who has been drifted in the deserted mountains and forests. “The integrated feelings and atmosphere are very important”, Mr. Sha said, “You may slightly feel the mystery, gloomy, lost and uneasy and romance and beauty when you are appreciating my works. Hope you can interactive with those things.”
For the serial Bao Shu artworks of Wang Rongzhi who has graduated from the Fine Arts College of Guizhou Normal University in 2006. The expressionism has been expressed more directly in his artworks. The inner conflicts of rebellion and provocation have mixed with the thoughtless actions, just as a crazy poet, a patient or overindulge joy, direct feelings and split lyrical and beautiful tragedy. In his artworks, you can sense the true feelings when the bottom line of human has been challenged and the trouble has been made. Those statuses have reflected desire’s role in the materials processing. The materials have been processed; meanwhile, the given cultures have been destroyed and disclosed as well. When preceding those materials, the artist has conducted the necessary selection, reservation and modification. The inner environment has appeared with the combination of beast and man; the relationship of surrounding plants and creatures has covered into double metonymy.
In terms of Mr. Yang Yulin, the sense of sufferings is the main expressive way for him to touch the world. What the people will become before the most vulnerable nerve collapsed? It is the spiritual luxuries or additive drugs. Most of the images have originated from himself. He said he did not pay much attention on himself. He would like to present the survival situations of urban people. This concern has initially related to the natural original status. Besides, the possibility of transforming this status will become the mine clue of his creations. In accordance with the inner feelings and creation process, his artworks have disclosed the spiritual sufferings and lost in the material life.
The main theme of this artistic exhibition is Qi Chi-Loneliness, Inner Feelings and Sufferings. The duration of this exhibition will from 7th July to 29th July 2012.
