For all the post-805 women artists I know, Chen Yun is one of those who show amazing imagination, expressiveness and tension in her works. Through visual ways of computer-generated drawing, she creates a series of gorgeous and fantastic day-dreams, which presenting us a strange but enchanting kingdom. The prefect mix of traditional Chinese aroma and futuristic concept reveals her unique understanding of the oriental culture. Restricted by funding and technology, characters in her paintings were static images by far. If techically supported, she is surely going to be an excellent animation artist as well as an alternative visual contributor.
